This classic german pistol was designed by Georg Luger in 1908. Although being prone to malfunctions in poor, it was still produced in large numbers. Up until 1945 there were more than 2.5million units produced.

As a little side note: the name Parabellum comes from the latin saying "Si vis pacem, para bellum", which means something like "If you want peace, prepare for war".
